I had the same look on my face as this BMW M4:
But in a good way. These look stunning in person.

Somehow baby blue actually looks really good on it.

They really do look amazing. Which is nice, considering how common they're going to be!

Agreed, pictures do not do them justice!

Nice Ferrari!

Yep. Leave the money on the nightstand , John.

Handicap spot?
![]() 05/25/2020 at 19:52 |

It’s the bastard child of a 360 Modena and a Camaro.

The owner started it up and it did what I call the “Ferrari brap” where it blips the throttle just a bit when you start it. It’s very much trying to be one. But at Corvette pricing, I don’t mind.

They have a “Rapid Blue” color too, and I think it’d look very nice next to another mid-engine car I know of...

Vent:Door ratio of 1:1 is ideal. 50/50 vent/door distribution, as all things should be.

Yup. Spoke with the owner and he said he usually drives a taller vehicle because the low Corvette is difficult to get into.

Ferrari proportions with Camaro repair costs = yes please.
At least, we all hope it’ll be cheaper to service a C8 than a Ferrari.

With a pushrod V8? Almost a sure bet there
![]() 05/25/2020 at 21:16 |

Oh so you wouldn't turn down a free C8 in Rapid Blue I see. . .

Meh. They look ok in person. Should have not called it a corvette tho IMO.

I still can’t believe it exists.
I still can’t believe it costs not-anywhere-near six figures.
I still can’t believe it’ll depreciate into obtainability like any other vette.
It’s here, in real life, right now, and I don’t believe it.
...I wish I felt this way about the new Supra....

Vent all the doors.

Did it have the Duramax?
![]() 05/25/2020 at 22:55 |

No but it did have a lift kit:

saw my first in the wild last weekend - a white one with the black rear wing spoiler thingy. Other than that wing it looks really good.

Are those dealer-optional rims? When it comes to rims, I am a harsh judge, but those are kind of appealing to me.
![]() 05/26/2020 at 01:14 |

I believe those are actually factory. They’re kind of flat-face for my tastes, but I expect the wider Z06 & ZR1 variants later on will get more concave designs.

I think that car is actually C eramic M atrix G ray M etallic.
![]() 05/26/2020 at 11:37 |

Oh, so it just has a metallic blue tinge because of the lighting. Okay that makes more sense but it should totally come in light blue anyways.

The Smurf Blue trend may have run its course.
![]() 05/26/2020 at 11:45 |

No not Smurfberry blue, but a pale light blue. Like the Glacier Metallic 4Runners came in.
Might not be aggressive enough.

Yeah, I think they’d only sell a few.
My car is silver, but picks up blue like crazy under a clear sky:
(not my car)

I do love an automotive paint that changes with the light.

Same - looks great in low-light, too.

I believe that’s the ceramic gray metallic, which looks fantastic. Also, I can just see it, but for anyone who hasn’t taken a close look at it, t hat two-tone red interior is stunning.
